About Libby
Cr Libby Buckingham has proudly called the City of Port Phillip home since 2010, choosing to raise her family in the heart of this diverse and vibrant community.
She was elected as the representative of Balaclava Ward in November 2024.
Cr Buckingham began her career as a secondary school teacher and has since held senior roles in education and social policy with the Victorian Government.
She was the Director of the Thriving Communities team at the Victorian Council of Social Service, where she led projects to strengthen community and environmental resilience, and eliminate poverty.
Cr Buckingham has studied education policy and holds a Masters of Education Policy International from the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.
Cr Buckingham is passionate about building an inclusive and sustainable City of Port Phillip for all who call it home.
